NABsys
NABsys was founded in 2004 as a spin-out from Brown University.
In 2005 Barrett Bready joined NABsys as CEO and subsequently acquired GeneSpectrum, another Brown spin-out company.
In 2009, Point Judith led a Series A round for NABsys. Upon investing, Point Judith introduced the NABsys team to serial entrepreneur Stan Rose, who joined the board.
In 2010, Point Judith introduced Ray Stata to the company, and Stata Ventures led a $7 million Series B round.Today, NABsys is developing a superieor DNA analysis technology that has the potential to be the first DNA sequencing system used in widespread clinical use.
