Multiply.com
In 2004, Peter Pezaris and several former employees of Commissioner.com launched Multiply.com, a consumer-facing Internet media company that enables users to interact and share content with people they know.
By 2008, the company had over 5.7 million registered users. Point Judith and Vantage Point co-led the Series B Round and Claudio joined the board of directors after he helped organize the financing.
From 2008 to 2010, Multiply’s small-group approach to social networking organically attracted a substantial audience in Southeast Asia. These users adapted the platform primarily for ecommerce. Peter and Claudio recognized this evolution and embraced it which enabled them to build the largest ecommerce marketplace platform in the region.
In 2010, the company was acquired by Naspers (JSE: NPN), a leading multi-national Internet media company.
